Please note that due to the snowstorm and hazardous driving conditions, we have decided to cancel all Monday, February 17th Day League games. All teams will be awarded 2 points for a draw.

Due to the forecast of heavy snow this weekend, the club will be closed on Sunday.  However the club will be available for practice today (Saturday February 15) until 6 pm.  The ice crew will be preparing the ice Saturday evening for the Monday morning league.  We will be advising your skip, if we are cancelling the games of the Monday day leagues.  Thank you for your understanding.

It is the responsibility of all players to protect the hacks during play to prevent damage to the ice around the hacks.

Even minor contact with a stone can cause substantial damage to the ice around the hack.

If you do not feel comfortable stopping the rocks from hitting the hacks, the club has hack protectors that can be used during your game.

 

Please note that on Wednesday evening the ice was flooded, and on Friday afternoon the stones were sharpened.

A friendly tournament was organized to mark the start of the 2024-2025 season. A total of 6 teams took part in the event, which was held on October 4, 5 and 6. Teams were divided into 2 pools, and each team met the 3 teams from the other group. The 2 teams with the highest scores competed in the final.

The participating teams were :

• Team Boudriau
• Team Desrochers
• Team Ménard
• Team MacCallum
• Team Janigan
• Team Gilroy

The winning team in the final is “Team MacCallum” and the runner-up is “Team Janigan”.

We would like to thank all the players who took part in the 2024 edition of the “Opening Tournament”. Special thanks to those who prepared the ices for this event. Finally, we'd like to thank Cathy MacCallum, who prepared deserts for us all to enjoy.

 

Priority Announcement

To keep the ice clean, we are asking that you clean your shoes and gripper (including the inside).  If your gripper is getting old, it will be leaving piece of rubber on the ice and could ruin your next perfect shot (don’t blame the ice). The club has an inventory of grippers for sale.

L’Assemblée générale annuelle aura lieu le dimanche 22 septembre 2024 à 10 h au club de curling. Une invitation vous sera envoyée par courriel. Le rapport annuel, le rapport financier et l’élection des membres du CA figurent à l’ordre du jour. Les mandats sont d’une durée de deux ans. Nous encourageons les membres à jouer un rôle actif au sein de leur club, donc si vous êtes intéressés, contactez Bob Gill, le responsable des mises en nomination.

The Annual General Assembly will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 10:00 at the curling club. An invitation will be sent to you via email. The annual report, the financial report and the election of board members are on the agenda. Elected mandates are for 2 years. We encourage members to take an active role in their club.
